Osimhen is what looked like a reprisal attack deleted almost all the pictures and videos related to Napoli on his Instagram handle. The Nigerian, however has made an official statement based on the misunderstanding; he described rumours of falling out with the people of Naples and fans of Napoli as fake.
Speaking  to Pulse Sports editor Joba Ogunwale, Okocha said,
Okocha provides experienced advise to Osimhen
“Well, I mean, first of all, I will commend him [Osimhen] for the strength that he showed. You know, not letting anything affect him.

Osimhen according to sources in Italy is yet to sign a contract extension at Napoli, fuelling speculations he may leave when the right offer comes his way; though he still has two years left on his current contract.
“[As for] the future, I mean, it is for him to decide, you know, but I don’t think that his decision should be based on a TikTok post, you know,” Okocha advised.
“He should always weigh his options and know what is best for him [and] if it’s best for him to continue in Napoli or look for a new challenge.”
The former Bolton Wanderers midfielder, opined that whatever decision Osimhen should take regarding his future shouldnt be centered on the TikTok video saga.
“But I don’t think that he should narrow his decision-making based on the TikTok post,” he concluded.
In a related development, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda, had threatened to take a legal action if that is what it will take to salvage the reputation of his client.
According to the Italian, the now deleted video has the capability of causing a serious damage to Osimhen.
“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted,” Calenda said.
