Flying Eagles shot-stopper Saheed Jimoh Akanbi has signed for Czech Republic outfit SFC Opava following a successful trial at the club npflupdates.com reports.

Saheed Jimoh was part of the Isah Ladan Bosso’s Flying Eagles team that won the WAFU-B U-20 tournament last year. The teenage Goalkeeper also was part of Nigeria’s U-20 team that achieved a podium finish at the 2023 AFCON U-20 tournament in Egypt.
At the AFCON U-20, he failed to feature in any of the matches as first choice goalkeeper Chijioke Aniagboso, was in goal in all the matches, helping Nigeria win Bronze.
Before the FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament in Argentina, Jimoh, opted out of the team, for some reasons best known to him and his representatives.

What Opava coach said about Saheed Jimoh
