Ahead of Super Eagles next AFCON qualifier fixture against Sao Tome and Principe in September, some essential Flying Eagles players are likely to be promoted to the national team npflupdates.com understands.

Flying Eagles (Nigeria’s U-20 men) few months ago participated in the FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament in Argentina. And at the tournament, the Isah Ladan Bosso team displayed pure talent and determination.

Fans gabe the team no chance after being placed in the same group with Italy, Dominican Republic and 5-time champions Brazil. But, then, the team defied odds and qualified winning two of the games and losing once.

And into the Round of 16, the Flying Eagles came up against host nation Argentina; and many thought, that will be the end for the team. But with dedication and pure exceptional talents, the team defeated Argentina to progress into the next round. Sadly, they lost against Korea Republic in the quarter-finals.

Though Nigerians are  sad about the World Cup’s sad ending, they’re however happy with the exceptional talents in the squad.

According to sources, three Super Eagles players have been pointed for promotion to the Super Eagles team by pundits. These are exceptional players that can give Super Eagles coach a lot of options in the team.

Flying Eagles players set for Super Eagles promotion

The three exceptional players are Victor EletuDaniel Daga and Abel Ogwuche.

Victor Eletu is characterized by speed, strength and long-range passes. The AC Milan midfielder, despite being new in the team was instrumental for Nigeria at the world cup. He also provided an assist for Nigeria’s second goal against Argentina in the Round of 16. Recently, he was promoted to AC Milan’s senior team, and is with the club for the America pre-season tour. An introduction into the Super Eagles set-up can help player develop more. Also, it can provide options in the midfield for Super Eagles coach.

Combative midfielder Daniel Daga, likened to legendary Sunday Oliseh will help protect Super Eagles back-four. Characterized by strength, speed and shot-power, Daga is one for the future. At the moment, Italian giants, AC Milan and Torino are seriously interested in his services.

And finally the rock-solid Abel Ogwuche, a defender with the characteristics similar to that if legend Taribo West. Abel, will always put his best on the line to protect his goalkeeper. And with inconsistency at the Super Eagles back-four, Abel can be a serious option.
