Exceptional players, club and national teams of African extractions are expected to win at least one title at the event which will hold in Marakesh, Morocco.

Nigerian players in contention for the CAF Best Player Award are Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala.
While Osimhen is in contention for CAF Best Player Award for male category, Oshoala is charging for her sixth title in the female category.

Osimhen helped Napoli win its first ever Scudetto title in more than three decades last season. Also last season, he finished as Serie A best striker, the highest goalscorer with 26 goals(becoming the first African player to achieve such feat). Last season also, the 24-year-old won Globe Soccer award for the best emerging player beating Challenges from Gavi, Jude Bellingham and other players.
Recently, the former Olympique Lille forward finished as the highest goalscorer (with ten goals) in the 2023 AFCON qualifier.
On the other hand, Oshoala helped Barcelona Femeni win the Spanish Primera Division; and also contributed immensely as the Barcelona-based team win the women’s UEFA Champions League title.
Whether or not the Nigerian players will win the CAF Best Player awards remains with the voting of journalists, Coaches and national team captains.
In another story, former Ghana Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, has been ordered to forfeit some properties to his erstwhile wife Gifty Gyan.
According to sources, the Ghana legend and his wife has been in court since three years, as they seek to dissolve their marriage which produced three children.
The presiding judge ruled that Gyan would have to pay to the tune of GHc 25,000 monthly stipend to Gifty for the upkeep of the children(who was said to be his biological kids).
Meanwhile, the GHc25,000 monthly stipend excluded school fees of the three children, medical and dental care fees, and flight tickets for travel among other costs.
