Hatayspor midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, canvas fans support ahead of crucial 2026 FIFA world cup qualifier fixtures against South Africa and Benin Republic; npflupdates.com reports.
If he impresses coach Finidi George, Dele-Bashiru will be in the starting squad for the Super Eagles versus Bafana Bafana game this Friday.

The 23-year-old who hasn’t visited Nigeria in over a decade was full of excitement following his invitation to the national team.
Speaking to the media, he expressed confidence in his abilities, highlighting that with the positive support of the fans and football stakeholders in Nigeria, he can bring positive changes to the coffers of the three-time African champions.
Born in Germany and raised in England, Dele-Bashiru is eligible to represent either of the above countries. However, he choose the Super Eagles of Nigeria, as he was also eligible through his parents.

Speaking to the Super Eagles media team, Dele-Bashiru as quoted by Allnigeria said: “It means everything to me, from my family, my parents, it means a lot. I am always happy to make my brother, mom, dad, cousins, uncles, everyone proud.
“Nigeria is a country of over 200 million population so it’s not an easy thing to play for the national team, I’m always proud to play for them.”
He continued; “Going into every game we have confidence that we can beat the opponents. We will take these games one by one and hopefully we can get the victory in both of them.
“I’ve really been enjoying the training. We have also had some running and physical stuff in the training , I enjoyed it.”
He added, “Keep supporting me, hopefully I can show you guys what I’m capable of doing if not now then in the future.”
In another story, Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali confirm interest from bigger clubs.
According to the 2023 AFCON hero, a step away is imminent in the summer; but, the actual destination is not yet certain.

“The transfer window is going to open soon, and for me, I wish to take a step forward. I don’t know if it will be South Africa or Europe,” Nwabali said.
“I played well for my club (Chippa United) this season, and they also want me to play for a bigger team.
