Akinade Onigbinde, head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), outfit Doma United expresses excitement over derby win last Sunday npflupdates.com reports.

Doma United emerged victorious at the Pantami Stadium on Sunday during an NPFL derby match against Gombe United.

The Savannah Tigers held their positions in the first period to force a stalemate at the break. However, they came back into the second-half energised and scored three crucial goals to emerge victorious.

A goal from Ekpeyong and a a brace from Steiner Jaesam, ensured the visitors owned the day.

According to coach Akinade the mid-week rest afforded them time to perfect their tactics ahead of the matchday seven encounter.

“The midweek rest was really important for the player,” he told the club’s media in a post-match interview and was quoted by Daily Post Nigeria.

According to the tactician, the technical department used the period to organise the boys ahead of the weekend fixture.

“It gives the technical department an opportunity to work on the boys ahead of the Derby against Gombe United,” he continued.

“The result was an impressive performance as we created more scoring chances,” he added.

In a related story, Monday Odigie head coach of Bendel Insurance, said his boys need to know how best to improve their games.

He said this following his side’s victory over their visitors, Remo Stars at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium last Sunday.
