Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL, Champions, Enyimba FC has declared interest in a Odion Ighalo npflupdates reports.
Enyimba is looking to strengthen its attacking department ahead of next season after emerging NPFL Champions.
The former CAF Champions League champions, declared interest in the free agent as the seek to fortify their attacking department. And this according to experts, is a proactive measure as striker Chukwuemeka Obioma is set to leave the club this summer.
Obioma is the highest goalcorer in the NPFL 2022/2023 season with 16 goals. And has been link with a move to Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League.

So, Enyimba who wish to rediscover it’s fine form in the continent is taking no chances at all. And they’re already preparing a move for the AFCON 2019 highest goalscorer.
“It’s true they’re in the market now in search of a quality striker,” a source close to the team told npflupdates’ correspondent.
“It’s no longer news that Obioma may be leaving this summer. Especially after he refused to extend his contract which will end in a couple of months. And the club wants to get back to the continent and dominate; hence the reason why they need a quality striker.”

He added, “Odion Ighalo is being considered as the perfect replacement. Because he will employ his wealth of experience having played at football top levels before.”
Meanwhile, speculations, are also linking the People’s Elephant to a former FC Barcelona player, Alex Song.
Song will be leaving a Djouti outfit, Atar Solar this summer after he contract extension talks broke down.
