The Golden Eaglets will Leave Nigeria for Germany in the coming days as they prepare for the upcoming African Cup Of Nation(AFCON) npflupdates exclusively reports.

The move to Germany is a tactical one, as the team tidy up its preparation for the AFCON U-17.

The team have been preparing for the AFCON in their Abuja camp, with test games against some local teams.

The WAFU B champions, has not test defeat in any of its last five test games against local teams. So, the idea of moving to Europe for tougher opponents was hatched.

Based on report, the Nduka Ugbade boys has already started the visa application processes for the trip to Germany.

Only players who scaled through the Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) test will travel with the team.

The test is meant to detect players who are within the age bracket for the tournament in Algeria.

“I was very surprised too because I didn’t tell anyone that he was coming,” Ugbade told The Punch in an interview.

“I guess they(the players) saw him from the window while he was coming down from the vehicle. And they all rushed into my room to see him and touch him.

“It was very interesting and it touched my heart to know that he can give us such time. Even while he just arrived for a national team assignment.”

The Golden Eaglets are in Group B. And there, will take on Zambia, Morocco and one of its perennial opponent, South Africa at the tournament.

So, the African tournament which will run between 29 April and 19 May, 2023. And it will not be an easy outing for the former world champions.
