How I Discovered Victor Boniface Before Super Eagles Integration – Jose

Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has opened up on how he get to know about forward Victor Boniface before integrating him into his squad npflupdates.com reports.

Victor Boniface has been nominated for the Rookie Of The Month in the German Bundesliga, for the second consecutive time since his arrival to Germany last August.

The Nigerian owing to his abilities and fokrm in front of goal, was voted as the German Rookie Of The Month for August. He has scored at least seven Bundesliga goals in his last seven Bundesliga games.

And that wonderful form earned him a Super Eagles invitation last month; where he came off the bench against Sao Tome and Principe to make his national team debut. And he will be looking to make a full debut, when the Super Eagles engage Saudi Arabia and Mozambique this weekend and early next week respectively in an international friendlies.

Speaking to the media how he get to know about Victor Boniface, Peseiro, disclosed he was captivated by his performances when he saw him on a video.

According to the former Sporting CP coach, he had traveled to Belgium to talk with Boniface about a potential national team call-up.

What Peseiro said about Victor Boniface

“He is a player that last season I already evaluated on video through the scout platform. Then I traveled to  Belgium to talk to him, learn about him, the objective he has and explain the objectives we have,” Peseiro said and was quoted by Owngoal Nigeria.

“I liked how he played and with the evaluation we have of him, and what he told us about his willingness to play with us.”

Peseiro added, “He was doing very well in Belgium; my surprise is that he is doing very well in Germany because it’s a top-5 league. He’s sticking out and bursting it; let’s hope he continues to play very well in Germany.”

Nigeria will hope to defeat Saudi Arabia and Mozambique, to stand a chance of improving on the next edition of the FIFA ranking.
