Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho, may no longer feature for Leicester City this season npflupdates understands.
And this is because, the forward sustained an injury in the game against Leeds United last Tuesday.
Iheanacho has been instrumental for the Foxes in his last three appearances, and scoring two goals.
His first goal was when Leicester exchanged tackles with Manchester City few weeks ago. And he got his second when he converted from the spot against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“He’s got a tear in his adductor muscle,” Smith was quoted by Dailypost Sports Nigeria after medical assessment of the player.

Iheanacho Is A Big Loss, But An Opportunity For Others
“He’s out for a number of weeks. I’m not going to rule him out for the rest of the season, but it’s going to be tough to get him back. Hopefully, we can.”
And according to Smith, Iheanacho is an integral part of the squad. And will be missed during this period of his absence.
The 26-year-old played a key role in the equalising goal against Leeds United at Elland Road. Because, he sustained an injury in the build up to the goal. And even while limping he set-up midfielder James Madison, who provided the assist for Jamie Vardy.
“It’s a blow, he came on at half-time against Man City and did ever so well. He played really well in the Wolves game as well. He scored the penalty and created chances,” he said.
“His all-round displays have been really good, so it’ll be a loss, but it’s an opportunity for others.”
Leicester City without Iheanacho will battle to survive relegation and stay afloat in he English top flight.
