Germany international footballer Jamal Musiala has finally opened up on the main reason why he chose German national team over Nigeria’s Super Eagles npflupdates.com reports.
Jamal Musiala was born in Stuttgart Germany to a British-Nigerian Yoruba father and German mother with Polish and English roots.
Musiala lived for a short while with his parents in Fulda until he attained the age of seven; and subsequently moved to England with his family. He would remain in England for the rest of his childhood.

Also he has gone ahead to represent England his country of residence at age-grade football; also he represented Germany in age-grade football as well. As much as he’s eligible to represent England and Germany international, he’s also eligible to represent Nigeria.
But, he chose his country of birth, over that of his residence, paternal and maternal origin.
So many dusts was raised by football fans especially those of Nigerian extraction following his decision to have his allegiance for Germany. Many have inquired as to why he chose Germany over Nigeria.
According to the Bayern Munich playmaker, he had wanted to play for Nigeria, as he earlier thought about it. However, after holding talks with Germany and Nigeria, he he made the decision of choosing Nigeria citing peace of mind.

“I could have played for Nigeria because it crossed my mind, and I thought about it well. I had good talks with Nigeria and Germany. So it really just came down to me and where I’d feel the most comfortable. So I decided to go with Germany,” Musiala told UK3 and quoted by Leadership news.

Musiala as a player for Bayern Munich has won the UEFA Champions League title, the German Bundesliga titles for four times. Also, he has won the UEFA Super Cup, the German DFB Pokal and a lot more.
Meanwhile, individually, he has been awarded the German international player of the year once.
