Left-footed Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho has opened up on his role, position and relationship with teammates at club level npflupdates.com reports.

Kelechi Iheanacho emerged Leicester City’s top scorer last season, and was also voted the club’s best player for last season. However, his efforts and performances, couldn’t save the former English Premier League champions from getting relegated to the EFL championship.
Speaking in an interview with LeicestershireLive, the former Manchester City forward said he’s not contending with English forward Jamie Vardy.
According to Iheanacho, Vardy is Leicester City’s legend, having led the team to its first ever English Premier League title in 2016. Also finishing as the club’s highest goalcorer the same season.

“Let me put that right, it’s never a battle with me and Jamie, he’s a legend in the game, he’s done a lot for this great club, so it’s never a battle for me and Jamie,” the former Golden Eaglets player told LeicestershireLive.
Iheanacho and Vardy have scored four goals each for Enzo Maresca’s side this season.
The 27-year-old expressed his admiration for Vardy and described the Englishman as a legend.
Iheanacho and his Leicester City teammates are bent on gaining a promotion back to the EPL, as Leicester City is currently and comfortably sitting on top of the EFL championship table.

In a another development, Kelechi Iheanacho has joined Super Eagles teammates at the team’s camp in Portugal, ahead of a Saudi Arabia and Mozambique international friendlies.
The English FA Cup winner, will likely partner Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, or Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface in the attack on Friday.
