Nigeria’s stand-up comedian, Bright Okpocha popularly known as BasketMouth enrolls his son at Liverpool football academy, United Kingdom.
And this was confirmed in a recent post made by the legendary comedian on Monday evening. According to the proud father, his son, is expected to go all out and make him proud.
In a video that was shared on his verified Twitter handle, the kid Jason was seen making his official registration at the club’s facility. And he would later be adopted into the academy, and led to his place of abode by his guide.

And since the video went viral, Nigerians across various social media platforms have been reacting. While some are commending the effort of the comedian, others are saying otherwise.
And Netizens who’ve reacted to the post queried why the celebrity couldn’t allow his son walk in his footsteps.

“Y not followed his dad footstep,” Ikouwem Alfred asked in pidgin language.
“Wow beautiful investment,” Dave Embassy retorted.
On the other side, Boss Eminent, left a controversial comment attributing the move to being wealthy. And having what it takes to make such a move a reality.
“Money is good, I can’t just wait to enroll any of kids to any foreign football academy,” Boss said.
Another fan commended Bright for supporting the dream of his child. According to him, African parents ought to stand up and support their children in their choose careers
“This is commendable. More African parents need to follow same. They should learn to support the dreams and aspirations of their children instead of trying to impose their wish on them.”

It’s important to note that, Liverpool football academy is one of the best academies in the Merseyside of England. And the academy has produced a lot of talented professionals in football.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time a Nigerian celebrity has enrolled his kid into a foreign Academy. Singer Peter Okoye, has his son Cameron, registered with Barcelona’s academy.
