Musa talks about experienced players in the Super Eagles
The Super Eagles have one of the youngest squads on the continent, with the majority of the first team players still not in their peak, and are also under the age of twenty-eight.
“As you can see, we still need someone like Mikel Obi in the team, we still need Victor Moses. It’s not just about having young players in the team because you need players to mentor them, which we don’t have right now,” Musa mentioned in quotes revealed by PUNCH Nigeria.
The former VV Venlo winger urged the media to help in promoting the players instead of talking down on them when they go wrong.

“Please, I beg the media, take it easy on these young boys; they can’t take too much pressure. That is why, once they step onto the pitch to play, they worry because they are concerned about what they will see on their Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts,” he said.
Musa further explained that fans’ negative reactions and media reports were part of the reasons winger Victor Moses and forward Odion Ighalo called a quit to the national team career earlier than expected.
“What do you think forced Odion Ighalo out of Eagles? They threatened to kill his family, and he had to quit,” he continued.
