Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, newcomers, El-Kanemi Warriors has announced a total overhaul of it’s entire coaching and backroom crew over poor performances.
El-Kanemi Warriors came into the Nigeria’s top flight division from the Nigeria National League, NNL this season.
The club have high hopes of challenging for and probably winning the title. And also, there are hopes of even qualifying for a continental competition by the end of the season.
But reverse at the moment seems to be the case, going by their form. The team has performed badly to the dismay of club’s management.

The Maiduguri-based club has a total of five points in a possible 27. And is seated at the bottom of the Group A part of the abridged NPFL 2022/2023 season.
The pressure heightened on the Coach Abubakar Hassan and his coaching crew when they lost embarrassingly to Plateau United. Because few weeks ago in Jos; Plateau United beat the club 5-0.
And when hopes of the fans were high that team could get back to winning ways, they lost yet again. They suffered a humiliating defeat at their own ground by Kwara United on Wednesday evening.
Left with no options, the club’s Management decided to have a total overhaul of the coaching and backroom staff. And that is a step towards finding a lasting solution to the poor run of form of the team.
El-Kanemi without a caretaker manager, will return to action in two weeks time after the general election which will hold on February 25 2023. And also that of the gubernatorial and House of Assembly holding on March 11, 2023.
