NPFL Warn Against Bad Behaviour Of Ball Boys, Coaches’ Poor Dressing

Organisers of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), spells out a sanction on clubs who do not reorientate it’s coach and Ball boys to the sports good of conduct npflupdates.com reports.

According to the chief operating officer of the NPFL Mr. Davidson Owunmi, some ball boys in the league exhibit some elements of indiscipline; which it cannot longer condole.

NPFL organisers frown at ball boys undisciplined actions on match days

“It has come to our attention, the unscrupulous and undisciplined behavior of ball boys on match days,” Owumi said in a statement and was quoted by Daily Post Nigeria.

Owunmi decried the unscrupulous actions of ball boys, trying to hide balls when a match is going on, especially when a home team is winning.

“The continuous attitude of ball boys hiding match balls when the game is still on and mostly in favour of the home team shall no more be tolerated.”

“We urge you to take immediate steps to rectify this situation by carrying out orientation sessions for the ball boys to ensure that they understand and adhere to the rules.

“Failure to do so may result in penalties, including fines and points deductions as outlined in Rule C18 of the NPFL Framework and Rules.”

Also, the NPFL, frowned at the poor dressing of some team coaches domiciled in the local league. According to the Owunmi, coaches are advised that dress decently and smartly, else sanctions will be slapped on offending teams.

In another but related story, Finidi George, head coach of the current reigning NPFL champions Enyimba, has commended his players for the impressive performance against bitter rivals Bendel Insurance last Wednesday.

“I think it was a good display from the players in the victory against Insurance,” he stated in a post-match interview.
