Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali talks about speculations linking him away from Chippa United; npflupdates.com reports.
Nwabali was part of the Super Eagles squad that won silver medal at the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Ivory Coast.

During the AFCON, the former Go Round FC shot-stopper made his Super Eagles(AFCON) debut and at the same time displaced Cyprus-based and Omonia Nicosia Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho as the first choice.
Characterized by good posture, good sight, confidence and ability to work under pressure, Nwabali was identified by Nigerians as the new hero.
Post AFCON tournament, speculations has it that the former Enyimba FC goalkeeper was linked with a move to Belgium’s Royale Union Saint Gilloise, and Saudi Pro League’s Al Ittihad.
Nwabali denies N100M offer from any club
But the Nigerian has come out to deny such speculations, stressing that he hasn’t gotten an offer since after the AFCON.
“I only see offers online,” he said, as per SNL24 and was quoted by Daily Post Nigeria.
“To be honest, some of my friends send me screenshots to say, ‘hey bro, this offer is coming’ but to be honest, I haven’t seen an offer on my table.
“When sometimes there are rumours, I wish that they can all come to pass, but I haven’t seen any offer.”
In a related story, Udinese Calcio shot-stopper Maduka Okoye, expresses readiness to to play for the Super Eagles again.
The former Sparta Rotterdam goalie excused himself from the 2023 AFCON squad, as he wants to regain his confidence and form at Udinese.
And following his outstanding performances since arriving the Italian Serie A club from Watford FC, the Nigerian has established himself as the first choice goalkeeper.

“I’m very well now,” Okoye told the Udinese website.
“I feel 100%. The national team is an important thing for me and I want to return soon as possible. It was hard watching the Africa Cup of Nations from home, but this is football.”
