Outstanding Moffi Responds To His Inclusion In Super Eagles 2023 AFCON Provisional List

OGC Nice forward Terem Moffi has responded to his inclusion in the Super Eagles 2023 AFCON Provisional list with a brace npflupdates.com reports.

Moffi who recently recovered from a hamstring strain that kept him out of action last weekend at Le Havre, was on target twice as Nice defeat bitter rivals Lens in a French Ligue 1 encounter.

The 24-yeat-old who spent only 17 minutes on the minute, was quick enough to score two beautiful goals(one a spot-kick and the other assisted by Boja).

The goals by the Nigerian ensured that OGC Nice are positioned on the second spot in the French Ligue 1 standings.

Ahead of the OGC Nice’s League game against Lens at 9 p.m, club’s manager Francesco Farioli revealed that Terem Moffi is close to returning to full fitness; also he highlighted possiblity of featuring the former FC Lorient forward.

According to Farioli as quoted by New Telegraph:  “We will try to get him. Today (Tuesday, December 19) he will train with the team; we will see how he reacts. We hope to get him back but we won’t take any unnecessary risks. If the player feels like it, he will be in the game, otherwise, we will do without.”

Meanwhile, for the 2023 AFCON tournament, Moffi has been listed in the provisional squad; and is expected to make and be in the Super Eagles UAE camp.
