Italian Media Identify Osimhen As Being Useless After Frosinone Defeat

Napoli forward Victor Osimhen and teammate Kvara is being identified as ‘useless’ by an Italian media after his side failed to beat Frosinone Tuesday evening npflupdates.com reports.

Victor Osimhen enjoyed minutes last Tuesday evening as Napoli for the second consecutive time in two seasons crashed out of an Italian Copa Italia tournament.

Osimhen and Kvara’s introduction against Frosinone not impactful

Osimhen who started the game from the bench as coach Walter Mazzari decided to shuffle his starting XI and give some players game time, eventually came on as a substitute in the second half.

At the time of their introduction alongside his Georgian teammate Kvicha Kvaratskhelia when the game was still tied at 0-0.  Shortly after, the Serie B outfit ran riots and defeated the defending Italian Serie A champions in front of their home fans at the Diego Maradona Stadium; courtesy of goals from Barrenechea, Giuseppe Caso, Walid Cheddira, and Abdou Harrouito.

Reacting to Osimhen and Kvara’s introduction and low impact in the game, Italian media house Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia) labelled the Nigerian ‘useless’, and his teammate Kvicha Kvaratskhelia was also not spared.

At the end of the tie, Osimhen and  Kvaratskhelia were rated 5/10 by the Italian publication giant, which believed that the introduction of the Nigerian star and his Georgian counterpart did nothing to affect the outcome of the game in Napoli’s favour.

Napoli will hope to return to winning ways this weekend when they play AS Roma away from home in an Italian Serie A.
