Patrick Chinazaekpere : Denmark In A Tug-Of-War With Nigeria For Sensational Teenager

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) according to reports is monitoring Danish defender Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu npflupdates.com reports.

Chinazaekpere is a Danish defender who’s currently contracted with Lecce Calcio in the Italian Serie A. The 19-year-old who recently extended his contract at Lecce has so far this season fetaured in twelve Serie A games, and two Copa Italia games, though he’s yet to get on the scoresheet.

Born in Denmark to Nigerian parents, Chinazaekpere is currently representing the Danish youth team(U-21), but is still eligible the represent Nigeria at the senior level.

We gathered that Denmark’s national team gaffer Kasper Hjulmand is keeping close tabs on the high-flying young player with a view to handing him a senior national team call-up.

HHowever, agent of the kid Mr Ogbodo has sensationally claimed that Nigeria are ready to offer him a place in the national team.

“There is an opportunity for Patrick to play for the Nigerian national team, and we cannot rule anything out,” Ogbodo said to bold.dk.

“Right now he is away with the U21 national team, to which he gives his full focus, but we do not know what the future holds.”

In another statement accredited to Owngoal Nigeria, an agent of the former Nordsjàælland youth teammer, has decided to be mute about the international future of the teenager.

“He is Nigerian so you can’t rule it out. Presently he is with the U21 of Denmark and we will like it to be that way and see what the future holds.
