Randy Waldrum canvass support for the Super Falcons
“I wish the NFF (Nigeria Football Federation), to help us with a good camp in Europe(ahead of the Olympics). It will help us prepare well for the Group,” he said.
Speaking further, Waldrum, disclosed that a certain Nigerian male journalist never believed in his tactics. And would always want him to fail, so he can criticise him.
“[I have] so many thoughts going through my mind right now [after qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics]. We have one male journalist in Nigeria who wants to derail what we have done and had doubted what we can do. That journalist knows whom I am talking about.” – Coach Waldrum, said in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
Waldrum also highlighted one of the reasons why the Super Falcons were able to defeat the reigning African champions.
“We were much more organised than the previous times we played them,” Waldrum said after the game.
“South Africa talked a lot before these two matches, we just kept quiet.
“That’s why I felt confident. I believe in our team and I knew we will be hard team to break down even with their talent.
The thing we would then hope is that you finish off one or two of your opportunities to advance and that is what we did.”
