A communique made public by the executives of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, after its Annual General Meeting(AGM) revealed Randy Waldrum has been axed from his position as Super Falcons coach.
Randy Waldrum just ahead of the 2023 FIFA women’s World, had a very awful PR with the NFF. The American has accused the NFF of blackmail, misappropriation of funds, lack of support and breach of contract.
However, the NFF in what seemed like a response through its Director of Communications Ademola Olajire, described Waldrum as a ‘blabbermouth”. Also the Federation described the tactician as a the worst coach ever to manage the Super Falcons.
Further speaking, the NFF accused Waldrum for not being selfish and not dedicated to his job.
In a Twitter post by journalist Osasu Obayiuwana, it’s quite clear that Waldrum wouldn’t be getting a contract extension like his counterpart Jose Peseiro.
“From what has been released, in a communique from the @nff exco meeting that took place on Sunday in Uyo; ut seems clear that @CoachWaldrum will not be given a contract extension with the @NGSuper_Falcons.”

“I’m seeing reports that I’ve been sacked. But my contract doesn’t end until October 31,” Waldrum told The PUNCH, and was quoted by Owngoal Nigeria.
