The Super Eagles of Nigeria last Sunday walloped the True Parrots of Sao Tome and Principe in their last AFCON qualifier match npflupdates.com reports.

Following his recent nomination for the Ballon d’Or award, Osimhen said it’s a dream come true. Adding that he has worked very hard over the years to get the nomination.

According to him, it’s a reward for his Hardwork; and also the nomination is an honour to him and his family.

“I must say it is a dream come true for me. It is a big honour for me and my family,” Osimhen told reporters in Uyo, and was quoted by CompleteSports Nigeria.

“I have worked so hard for a moment like this. And I must say it is a reward for all the years of hard work and dedication.”

Speaking further, he highlighted that the nomination “can only spur” him “to do better and get more recognition.”

2) Jose Peseiro appreciated the indigenous people of AkwaIbom

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro, applauded the indigenous people of AkwaIbom and the state government for their support. According to pest, the atmosphere in Uyo was very cordial.

“I’ll like to say congratulations to the people and Government of Akwa Ibom because I see today was a fantastic atmosphere.

“Our players played with maximum commitment,” he said. “They want to play for me, I assembled them to win AFCON Cup and today they have shown good commitment in their play.

Also, he spoke of how his players didn’t feel relaxed despite knowing they’ve qualified for 2024 AFCON.

“Normally if you play against a team that is not strong everybody relax, but today they did not relax. It is fantastic game by the players, 6-0 is very good,” Peseiro said.

3) Super Eagles players scooped Man-of-the-match and Most Valuable Player awards:

While Osimhen was rewarded with the huge sum of one million Naira by MTN; Ademola Lookman was rewarded also with one million Naira but by Nigeria breweries.

The Super twill return to action again on November 13 for their world cup qualifier fixture against Lesotho.
