AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze is having a slow start to life in the Italian Serie A and shouldn’t be invited to the national team this FIFA international break top football analyst opines.
Top flight football leagues across the world especially those in association with Federation of International Football Association FIFA, will be on break after this weekend.
And during this break period, countries and football federations play international games. And such international games includes but not limited to; international friendlies, Euro qualifiers, AFCON qualifiers, Copa America qualifiers etc.
So, players anticipate every international break, because they see that as an opportunity to return back to their various countries. And link up with their national teammates, friends, families and well wishers.

During the upcoming break, Confederation of African Football CAF, has 2024 last AFCON qualifiers lined up. And during this time, nations that qualified for the upcoming AFCON in Ivory Coast will emerge.
Nigeria with a game against Sao Tome and Principe to spare had qualified already. But will have to complete their matches to avoid sanctions from the governing body. And as expected, invitations has been sent to players that will be involved in the dead-rubber tie.
Reacting on invitations sent to players, NPFLUpdates in-house analyst Mr Best, argued that some players struggling in their various clubs do not deserve an invitation.
Also, he opined that winger Samuel Chukwueze, should be allowed time to settle in Italy. According to him, Samuel is yet to get acquainted with the Italian Serie A, and can use this period.
No spontaneous impact yet for Samuel Chukwueze at Milan
“It will be to the interest of the country, if in-form players will be invited for the Sao Tome game,” he said.
“While advocate for integration of new players, those with questionable form shouldn’t be entertained.
“Also, it’s important that Samuel (Chukwueze) be allowed sometime, so he can get to study his team. He just moved to Italy, and is yet to make a spontaneous impact; aside his Copa Italia game against Novara, he’s starting from the bench. He lacks enough game time, and needs time to study and integrate himself into the Starting XI.”

He added, “I think it will disastrous for his career, to hand him an invitation t this time. So, I urge the NFF and technical team of the Super Eagles to look into the matter, and apply wisdom.”
