Investigation has revealed that some high-profiled Nigeria Football Federation, NFF members, are tirelessly working against the progress of Nigeria football NPFLUpdates exclusively reports.
According to investigations, most top NFF members are only after their personal gains and not the national interest.
This is not the first time corrupt and uncommitted practices would be attributed to some persons in the NFF.
Because, in the past, the NFF was called out after it failed to sanction a Super Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf. Yusuf who was indicted for alleged bribery and other corrupt practices.
Some players past and present have spoken out on how they were asked for bribes. Some officials ask for a bribe before handing a national team invitation.
Former Schalke 04 winger, Chinedu Obasi, years ago disclosed how he was asked by some NFF officials to pay bribe. He was asked to pay his way into the national team squad for the FIFA W’Cup tournament in South Africa.
And these corrupt practices of some NFF members, has led to the degradation of the quality of players at the different levels of the national teams. Best and capable players are no longer given a level playing field at the national level.
Last weekend, the Super Eagles was stunned by Guinea-Bissau at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, during an AFCON qualifier match.
Meanwhile, supporters of the national team weeks ago, called out coach Jose Peseiro for inviting low-performing players for the fixtures.
Reacting after the match at the Abuja stadium, British journalist, Osasu Obayiuwana, revealed that some persons are anti-Nigeria football.
What Osasu said about some NFF members
“There are people within @thenff that will not stop what they are doing until #Nigerian #football is destroyed.” – a top official said this to me a few minutes ago, in reaction to the @MGSuperEagles recent loss to G Bissau. I’m quite stunned by such a blunt statement.”
