Song : There Is A Serious Plan On How To Demolish The Super Eagles Out Of The 2023 AFCON

A former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon defender Rigobert Song reveals there is a seriously hatched plans on how his side can defeat the Super Eagles of Nigeria npflupdates.com reports.

Song who’s the current head coach of the Cameroon senior men’s national team will come up against Nigeria on Saturday (tomorrow) in an AFCON R16 fixture.

Speaking to the media during a pre-match press conference, the former defender, told reporters of his plan to defeat the Super Eagles.

Based on his statements, the Cameroonians are no longer in danger; and is well prepared for the Round of 16 fixture.

“We have strong respect for Nigeria because they’re a very good side. But we have our plans in place on how to approach this game,” Song was quoted by journalist Oluwashina Okeleji.

“We are no longer in danger. We are well prepared. The match against Nigeria is a risky match. I have reached a point where I no longer calculate anything. We must correct what needs to be corrected. We must do everything possible to win the match against Nigeria,” the former defender said.

In addition, Song pointed out the team of taking the Nigeria team seriously, as they can only stay at the AFCON when they defeat their closes neighbors.

“We have to take the Nigeria team seriously. And when we meet a serious team, we are serious too. You have to win to continue the competition,” he added.

In a related story, Super Eagles head coach, José Peseiro presented the reason why forward Kelechi Iheanacho is yet to feature in any AFCON game.

According to the former Venezuela coach, Kelechi just returned from injury, and there’s a reason(undisclosed at this time) he’s yet to play.

“You know Kelechi just recovered from injury, there is a reason why he is not playing. I am the coach and you can’t understand. I believe in Iheanacho and he will play in the tournament,” Peseiro tols reporters in Abidjan.
