Lesotho head coach Leslie Notsi has Identified Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro as a fantastic experienced coach npflupdates.com reports.
The Likuena of Lesotho will come up against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a 2026 FIFA world cup qualifier fixture on Thursday. The match will be held at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium Uyo, AkwaIbom State; and Nigeria is expected to go all out and secure all maximu points.

Lesotho’s coach, Leslie Notsi admitted that it would be a herculean task to defeat the three-time African champions. However, he stated that his team would not give Nigeria too much respect, but will give their best against the as they hope to embark on a world cup route in flying colours.

“We are playing a tough fixture against one of the best footballing countries in Africa and the world, a team that has qualified for the World Cups,” Notsi told reporters and was quoted by Daily Post ahead of the Super Eagles game.
“You know we are expecting a tough encounter, a team made up of very fantastic players, a fantastic coach and our expectation is to have a very tough match and we are taking this opportunity as a young football nation growing to come and play against the best so that we can help the exposure and experience.”
In a related story, Kasimpasa Captain Kenneth Omeruo has canvassed for support to Super Eagles goalkeepers. According to the former Chelsea man, national team goalkeepers play under intense pressure for Nigeria.

The former CD Leganes defender told reporters that Uzoho is Super Eagles best goalkeeper, and as such deserve to be protected.
“We, the players, are behind Uzoho because that is the best goalkeeper that we have. People can disagree because he made one or two mistakes. But we should not also forget when he had his best games. I see posts on social media, and the media is also not helping issues,” Omeruo said in a pre-match presser.
“I remember when Maduka [Okoye] was about to join the Super Eagles. The media was pushing for him to join, then he was with the team and made one mistake. The mistake was not so bad, but how he was attacked was discouraging.

“We need Nigerians to support our goalkeepers because it is not easy to keep for Nigeria. I am not a goalkeeper, but I know they are under immense pressure. I like Uzoho’s mentality because if not that he is strong, he would have run away.”
