Super Eagles Forward To Be Released By Top European Club

NFF moves to integrated Enyeama into the Super Eagles ahead of AFCON.

Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis, may return to English Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest at the end of his loan deal at Istanbul Basaksehir reports.

Dennis endured a poor start to life in the English Premier League (EPL) since he joined Nottingham Forest from Watford FC.

Eventually, the former Olympic Eagles (U-23) forward moved to Turkey on a season-long deal; joining Istanbul Basaksehir.

Unfortunately, with the 2023/2024 season have halfway gone, and the Super Eagles and  former Club Brugge man has made just eight appearances with no goal contributions(no goal nor assist) in the Turkish Super Lig.

The Nigerian forward has been a peripheral figure at the club and is still trying to break into the team’s first team. But coach Cagdas Atan does not see him as an important figure, as there are no plans to sign him on permanent basis.

In a related development, football journalist Ethan Suzgun via Soccernet has reported that Başakşehir have already decided to participate ways with the 26-year-old.

In another story, former Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Amunike has expressed excitement as Victor Osimhen was crowned 2023 CAF POTY (Player Of The Year).

Osimhen under the tutelage of Emmanuel Amunike, won the (2015) FIFA U-17 world cup tournament; finishing as the highest goalcorer with ten goals.

“Very happy,” Amunike said when asked how he felt seeing Osimhen become first Nigerian player to win the CAF POTY in over two decades.

“It’s shows that he didn’t relent despite the setbacks, he continued to work hard. I’m happy for him and I believe he can be a contender for the Ballon d’ Or if he  puts in more efforts in his game. He’s becoming that great player that we saw in him nine years ago when we first saw him. He can win it again next year but like I said, hard work and consistency will be key to that.”
