Super Eagles : Minister Makes A Huge Wonderful Promise After AFCON Qualifier

Nigeria’s Honourable Minister for Sports Senator John Enoh, promises the Super Eagles a befitting preparation ahead of 2024 AFCON npflupdates.com reports.

Senator Enoh was live at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium Uyo on Sunday when the Super Eagles entertained Sao Tome. And the sports loving philanthropist was impressed with the performances of the national team.

Nigeria battered Sao Tome and Principe, scoring six without conceding any. Interestingly, the game saw Napoli’s Victor Osimhen bag a hat-trick to take his national team goals to 20. And just 17 short of legend Rashidi Yekini, who holds the highest goalscoring record with thirty-seven goals.

Also, goals from Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, and Nottingham Forest’s Taiwo Awoniyi ensured victory for the 3-time African champions.

A Twitter post by Senator John Enoh congratulated the Super Eagles for their win. And also charged the team to go all out and win the AFCON at the 2024 edition in Ivory Coast.

Super Eagles to get optimum support from the Sports ministry

“On the behalf of all Nigerians, I congratulate the Super Eagles for making the country proud with such an incredible performance.While this wraps up our qualification gracefully, I want to charge the team to go out against all odds in Ivory Coast next year,” he tweeted.

 

According to the renowned politician, “We want the AFCON trophy to land in Nigeria. And all hands will be on deck to make this happen.”

Also, he promised that his “ministry will work round the clock to ensure the team gets the best preparation possible, in our quest to bring glory to Nigeria.”

In addition, Enoh mentioned that the players displayed commitment to the country. And hopes that the renewed sense of patriotism abides with the team until after AFCON.
