Super Falcons of Nigeria are currently in Australia for a 15-day training tour ahead of the 2023 FIFA women’s W’Cup.

The national team will entertain as many test and friendly games as possible as they prepare to make a world cup history. Before the team departed Nigeria for Melbourne, they were treated to a farewell dinner by the Nigeria Football Federation NFF. And the occasion according to sources is a morale boosting one, with many sports dignitaries in attendance.
Also, another interesting figure that graced the occasion was Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. She was represented by Dr. Betta, the All Progressive Congress APC, National Women Leader. And according to the word of the First Lady as stated by Dr. Betta, the Super Falcons were urged to make history by winning the championship.
Also, the First Lady, assured the ladies that she will be at the airport herself to welcome them, when they return with the title.
Speaking, about the world cup participation by the Super Falcons, npflupdates in-house analyst, Mr Best said the team will surprise the world.
According to Best, the team is filled with stars, and have the potential to make history.

“I have big confidence in this(Super Falcons) team. Because of the way and manner the team is arranged,” he said in his analysis on Monday morning.

“The ladies have what it takes to get the job done. And I’m optimistic they will deliver; the first match will convince everybody. I know a lot of people are writing them off, but let’s keep calm and watch them.
“Because I know, they’ll take the world by surprise. Of course, the team will qualify from their group; taking teams to Bulaba.”
The team will come up against, Canada, Republic of Ireland and host nation Australia in their group fixtures.
