Tears Of Joy, Oparanozie Returns To S’Falcons

Supporters of the Super Falcons of Nigeria l are shedding tears of joy as they heap praises on Coach Randy Waldrum for handing erstwhile striker, Desire Oparanozie an invitation to the Super Falcons squad.

Desire Oparanozie has been absent from the Super Falcons squad for a couple of months running into years. The striker was rumoured to have fallen out with the American coach few years ago, and that led to her been ostracized from the national team.

The rock-solid goal-scoring striker was absent from the squad at the last edition of the Aisha Buhari Cup. She was also absent from the last edition of the African Women’s Cup Of Nations AWCON tournament in Morocco.

Coach Randy Waldrum seemed to have buried whatever hatchet he had towards the Captain by handing her an invitation.

The nine-time African Champions will exchange tackles with Haiti Women’s National team and that of New Zealand next month.

So the national team will entertain the Haitians on Friday 7th April at the Emir Sports Complexe in Antalya Turkey.

And will engage World Cup co-hosts New Zealand at the Mardan Sports Complex still in Antalya on Tuesday 11th April.

And in the list of the invited players are Barcelona’s Femeni forward, Asisat Oshoala, Athletico Madrid Femeni forward, Raaheedat Ajibade.
