Tochukwu Ogbadibo : We’ll Have To Beat Morocco

Golden Eaglets forward, Tochukwu Ogbadibo, has admitted that the Morocco U-17 men’s national team is a tough opponent. And won’t be an easy team to beat.

Morocco beat South Africa U-17 2-0 in their first game of the AFCON tournament. And by that result, they’re the current leaders of the Group B, with same points as Nigeria. But they are leading on goal difference.

Nigeria beat Zambia 1-0, in their first group fixture on Sunday. And a win against Morocco will see them qualify for the next round of the tournament.

And also, a progress into the next round of the tournament, presents the team a bigger chance of qualifying for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup tournament in Peru.

In his assessment of the fixture in-view, Tochukwu, revealed that the Eaglets will show Morocco the respect they deserved.

“Morocco is a really tough opponent and we respect them a lot. They are a good side and we saw this from their game against South Africa,” Ogbadibo told a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

“We will definitely step up to do our best. And try to create victory because it is important for us to advance to the next round,” he added.

Also, Golden Eaglets coach Nduka Ugbade, admitted that the North Africans is a very tactical team. And as such, a big tactical battle awaits the Golden Eaglets.

“Morocco is a very good tactical side. I watched a bit of their match against South Africa. And I was impressed with how they played. Because they defend very well. And are tactically disciplined and very compact. We are going to see a very big tactical battle,” he added.

Nigeria entertain Morocco on Wednesday, at the Mohammed Hamlaoui Stadium, Constantine, by 5pm.
