“To be honest, I didn’t know Victor[Osimhen] was doing memes. I knew he was doing it on Instagram, but on Twitter, because I am not really interested in using it,” Boniface told Germany-based Journalist Oma Akatugba in an interview.
“I had a few friends who were saying I need to do a lot on Twitter, but I told them it was not my thing.
“Before I started posting memes, I had 122 followers at the time. But after my first post “givers never lack”, I had to delete it because my followers increased to 3,000.”
He added,”I was scared, but my friend told me to post it again. After posting it, when I woke up the next day, I saw almost 25,000 followers, I was surprised.”
In a related development, Boniface, canvassed for support to football coaches who bring players of different qualities together to achieve a common goal.
“I think you have to give credit to the coaches. Bringing new players to the team is not easy, and adapting is not easy, but I think they made the right choice in bringing the type of players that suit the way they want to play,” he said.
“Xabi is – apart from being a coach – a nice person to work with. I enjoy working with him,” Boniface talked about his coach(Xabi Alonso) at Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
