Former AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli has expressed disappointment at Victor Osimhen following his decision to leave a spot-kick to teammate Piotr Zielinski npflupdates.com reports.
Last Wednesday in an Italian Serie A fixture against Udinese, Victor Osimhen who’s Napoli’s penalty-kick taker stepped aside for the spot-kick to be taken by Zielinski. Reason for his action can be traced back to the ugly PR where a TikTok video (now deleted) on Napoli’s TikTok handle trolled the Nigerian for missing a spot-kick last Sunday away at Bologna.

As a result of the ugly incident, Osimhen deleted at least 98% of all images and videos related to Napoli on his Instagram handle.
In a statement, Napoli highlighted that it was never an intention of the club to offend Victor Osimhen.
Reacting to the penalty snub by Osimhen, Mario confessed he was disappointed.
what Balotelli said about Victor Osimhen
“Osimhen is a friend of mine, I greet him. But in the penalty miss against Udinese(Calcio), he disappointed me a bit. He should have kicked and not Zielinski,” he said to TV Play and was quoted by Owngoal Nigeria.
According to the former Inter Milan forward, the TikTok video was ‘meaningless’, adding that Osimhen has an undeniable personality; and scores a lot of goals.
“That video is meaningless. Victor has a personality, there’s no denying that. The goal he scores is complicated, don’t think it’s easy. Didn’t he rejoice? He did well, he copies me,” he added.
Responding to the social media saga, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda threatened a legal action against Napoli.
According to Calenda, every action needed to protect the reputation of Osimhen must be taken.
“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted,” he said.
