W’Cup: Be Ready For A Huge Disgrace – NFF Source

A source at the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) has told supporters of the Super Falcons of Nigeria to be ready for a huge disgrace at the FIFA women’s World Cup tournament npflupdates reports.

The statement by a top NFF official to football journalist Osasu Obayiuwana has generated a lot of reactions from Nigerians.

According to Osasu, the Nigeria football governing body, the NFF, is yet to pay the Super Falcons coach any salary in one year.

Recall the Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro was owed his salary for 10 months. But the Portuguese was recently paid a three-month salary accumulation of $210,000.

Osasu in a series of tweet on his verified Twitter handle, had wondered why the American hasn’t been paid. Because the NFF has confirmed paying the national team coaches.

And according to him, the NFF that paid Jose Peseiro, should also endeavour to his counterpart in the female category.

“I am just fed up. @CoachWaldrum, the @NGSuper_Falcons head coach, has not been paid his salary for ONE YEAR. What kind of rubbish is this? Why is @thenff such a fùcked-up organisation. The @FIFAWWC in #Australia and #NewZealand is going to be a disgrace. Just know this, #Nigeria.”

Reacting further, the Englishman revealed how a top official at the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) told Nigerians not to blame Randy Waldrum for any poor outing.

And according to the NFF official, Waldrum can not be efficient in his duties being owed for a year.

“Nobody should blame @coachwaldrum for any @FIFAWWC humiliation the @NGSuper_Falcons suffer. How can he work and be effective in these circumstances? We should just be ready for a huge disgrace in #Australia & #NewZealand,” the NFF official told Osasu.

So, asking why the NFF officials cannot publicly speak out against what is happening. Osasu discovered that any official who dare speak out will lose his/her place at the board.

“If I do that, they will be the end of me in this football system. Telling you and you making it public is the only way to alert Nigerians to what is happening,” he concluded.

Because of the salary owed Waldrum, there’s not doubt the national will perform below expectations at the World Cup.

So, Nigerians are calling on the NFF to do the needful before the tournament kicks off. But failure to do the needful, is a disaster waiting to happen.
