Nigerian winger, Gift Orban is enduring a difficult time in the French Ligue 1; npflupdates.com reports.
Gift Orban switched sides from the Belgian Jupiler Pro League to the French Ligue 1 last winter transfer window when he signed for former French Ligue 1 champions Olympique Lyonnais from KAA Gent.

Recall, the 21-year-old had a stellar career in Belgium with tye former Belgian champions scoring 32 goals in 52 games.
And that spectacular form earned him a first-time call-up to the Super Eagles squad late last year although he was not fielded by former coach Jose Peseiro after he picked up an injury on the eve of AFCON qualifier fixture against Sao Tome and Principe in Uyo.
Speaking on why Gift Orban is underperforming in France, former KAA Gent playmaker, Malick Fofana canvassed for more time.
According to the 18-year-old Belgian player, the former Stabæk forward needs time to adapt; adding that tye rules and style of game in Belgium is different from what is obtainable in the Ligue 1.
“Oh, Gift has to adapt. There are different rules here than in Gent. He has had a hard time with that. He’s a special, but good guy. In the meantime, everyone knows him a little,” the 18-year-old Belgian winger said in quotes revealed by Voetbalkrant.
Fofana who also swooped from Gent in the winter transfer window, leading to a drop in form for the Belgian powerhouse, remained upbeat that KAA Gent will see a resurgence in the near future.

“A team does not depend on one player. I was surprised about the relapse, but in football, anything is possible. Do I still have contact with people from Gent? Yes, especially with Jordan Torunarigha, Archie Brown and Tarik Tissoudali,” Fofana added.
