Former Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL, champion, Kano Pillars Will not be able to sign any new player until it settles with player Bassey Akpan npflupdates.com reports.
Kano Pillars have been sanctioned on the registration of new players until they reach a reasonable settlement with its erstwhile player Bassey Akpan.
Pillars were mandated by the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, whom to pay the sum of N11.8M( Eleven Million and eight hundred thousand) for breach of contract.

Bassey Akpan launched a complain to NFF players Status/arbitration committee that the club is yet to pay him after the 21days deadline given passed.
The NFF Committee, in it decision sanctioned the former NPFL champions. The sanction will last until a agreement is reached with the aggrieved player.
Kano Pillars hit with sanction on registration of players
“We received the NFF Players Status/arbitration Committee decision on player Bassey Akpan claims against Kano Pillars FC dated 9th May 2023, with reference number NFF/34/1/42,” a part of the letter sent to Kano Pillars’ chairman read.
“From the decision, Kano Pillars FC was mandated to pay to the player Bassey Akpan the sum of eleven million eight hundred thousand (11,800,000.00) only, on or before 21days from the state of the decision.”
Bassey had gone back to the committee, to notify that Pillars are yet to comply with its directives. Hence, the decision by the committee to sanction the Kano-based club.

“You are hereby informed that based on the above and subject to the frameworks, and rules of the NPFL article B9.45.4, a sanction on the registration of new players has been imposed on Kano Pillars FC, until they have reached a reasonable settlement with the player,” the letter further highlighted.
Kano Pillars Will for this first time after gaining promotion to the NPFL feature in the NPFL this weekend.
