Two important new inclusions can be observed in the team, as they look set to secure a crucial first leg victory.
First, Tochukwu Jiwaku, and Akudo Ogbonna are the only homebased players that made the squad for the Cameroon clash.
And while Tochukwu plays for Bayelsa Queens as a goalkeeper, Akudo is contracted with Remo Stars ladies and plays as a defender.
Secondly, American coach Randy Waldrum returns as Super Falcons coach for the first time since after the 2023 FIFA women’s world cup in Australia and New Zealand. The Pittsburgh Steelers coach, was out of contract with the NFF, but has agreed to terms and signed an extension.
Recall, the absence of Randy Waldrum, Justin Magudu who was Super Falcons stand-in coach did great, remaining unbeaten in three outings.
