Super Eagles and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has confirmed he admires Norway’s forward Erling Braut Haaland.
The 24-year-old Nigerian, also claimed comparison with the former Red Bull Salzburg is a kind of inspiration for him. And that it pushes him into working more harder towards becoming a complete striker.
Osimhen is currently considered the best striker in the world. He has scored 21 goals in 23 Serie A appearances for Napoli this season.

On the other hand, Haaland leads the goal-scoring chart in the English Premier League. In his debut season, he’s scored 30 league goals for Manchester City.
In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Osimhen admitted monitoring the progress of Haaland. And according to the former Wolfsburg VFL forward, he started keep tabs on Haaland during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
Osimhen Admits Erling Haaland’s Comparison:
“I am a fan of the Bundesliga,” he told Daily Mail and was quoted by Dailypost Sports Nigeria Nigeria.
“So, I have followed him(Erling Haaland) for a while. And every weekend he seems to score two, three, four goals.”
“I can score four goals in a game. And I can provide more assists. I can do many more things as I have the quality to execute them,” he added.
Haaland since his move to the English Premier League from Dortmund has become a sensation. Wrecking defensive apparatuses; and becoming a nightmare to defenders in the English top flight.
Meanwhile, Osimhen has been linked with a move away from the Diego Armando Maradona stadium in the summer. Manchester United and Chelsea seemed to be the frontrunners in the transfer race.
But, a conflicting report Tuesday night, said Osimhen will be heading back to Germany. And this time, he will be with the Bundesliga champions, FC Bayern Munchen.
According to another report, French Ligue 1 champions, Paris St-Germain is also interested in Osimhen.
Speculations in England admitted a secret meeting between Osimhen’s agent and Bayern Munich took place.
Whether or not he will move to Germany, remains a doubt. But everything will unfold in the summer.
