Football industry in Nigeria is one of the most booming sector. And if government should explore and tap in would generate a lot of revenue.
Last year, some football clubs in Belgium explored Nigeria’s football market and signed Ahmed Abdullahi. Ahmed Abdullahi was signed from HB Academy in Abuja. And he’s gone on to represent Nigeria at the AFCON U-20 tournament in Egypt.
As a player, below are some of the things you need to ensure you’re ready for the Ogenyi Onazi Program:
1) Have A Sports Video:
As a grassroot footballer, you ought to have a football video. Most football agents that have/and is working with NPFLUpdates also request for players video proof. Most times players may be good, but not to the extent an agent wants. Hence the need for a video proof.
“I will need a video proof of your players,” Mr. Henry, agent told me.
“You’re doing a great job, but most times players are not what they said they are. So videos are important.”

As a player go and get a video of yourself in action.
2) Have A Valid International Passport:
As a player, you ought to have your international passport ready at all times. You never can tell, opportunities may call from clubs based abroad. And without a valid passport, you’re not going anywhere. Because, last year I saw a player miss out on a move to Albania due to lack of a valid passport.
“I wasn’t prepared to say the least,” he said in 2022.
“I’m supposed to be in Albania by now. Unfortunately I have no international passport. I still feel the pain.”
3) Make Sure You Keep Fit:
While you wait for the right time to make your lucrative move to top clubs, you need to keep fit. Do not be caught off-guard, always maintain fitness.
4) And Finally Don’t Lose Hope:
As a talented grassroot footballer, never use the ‘C’ word. The ‘C’ implies CANNOT. Always have faithe in yourself, because a lot of people have faith in you. Hard-work pays, do not be discourage, you’ll get their some day.
