Former Nigeria Football Federation NFF, President Amaju Pinnick, has been caught in an exchange of words with a Nigerian football journalist who questioned his achievements while in office.
Osasu Obayiuwana, is renowned English-Nigeria football journalist. And based on sources, he has vast experience in Nigeria football and some things happening in the NFF.
Few weeks ago, Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum, accused the NFF of lack of support, corruption and fraudulent activities. According to the American, the NFF is not supporting the women’s national team. And has also misappropriated and mismanaged a certain $960,000 released by FIFA to participating teams.
Also, Waldrum accused the NFF of trying to impose an unknown player on him ahead of the world cup. Speaking further in an interview, waldrum explained that his assistant Lauren Gregg was excluded from the world cup staff list for refusing the proposed player(s).
And while responding to the accusation and outburst by Waldrum, the NFF through its Director of Communications Ademola Olajire, described him as a ‘loudmouth’ who has found his mouth. Also, the federation accused Waldrum of not been dedicated enough to his job. But is more interested in his goal of leading a team to a FIFA women’s World Cup tournament.
And weighing into the exchange of words between the federation and the gaffer, Osasu, accused Amaju Pinnick of laying the foundation of corruption in the federation.
According to a tweet by Osasu, Amaju Pinnick, hired Waldrum and failed to pay him for several months.

his response, Pinnick had urged Osasu to get married, bear children and become responsible. Also, he accused him of being treacherous, and showing lack of gratitude towards the NFF under his watch.
“Get a wife, a life and earn a proper living. Your treachery and serial blackmailing are known to all,” Pinnick said. He added, “Failure personify.”
“Pinnick was the first @thenff president in NFF history, to hire a Super Falcons coach on a PART-TIME, side-gig basis,” he said.
“This is the legacy Pinnick left behind for the most successful national team in @CAF_Online history. Is it one that he, and #Nigeria, should be proud of?”
On Friday, this is the message that I sent to former @thenff president @PinnickAmaju – the man who hired @NGSuper_Falcons @CoachWaldrum and failed to pay him for several months, which contributed to the 14 month backlog of wages, of which just 7 months were paid about a month… pic.twitter.com/AMqmRulKml
