A former Super Eagles player Michael Emenalo opens up on his idea of having Victor Osimhen play on the Saudi Pro League.
There’s has been back-and-forth movement regarding the transfer of Osimhen from Napoli to a new club. And the Saudi Pro League seeming to be his next destination after Al Hilal presented a mouthwatering offer.

And according to what is obtainable from the offer, the Nigerian will see himself earning to the tune of €1million per-week.
It’s no longer news that the Saudi Pro League has become a key player in the transfer market. And has attracted several prominent world football superstars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, N’golo Kante, Marcelo Brozovic and others.
Also, a lot of African footballers have switched to the Saudi league in search of greener pastures. Such players include Riyad Mahrez, Franck Kessié, Edouard Mendy, Sadio Mané, Seko Fofana and Kalidou Koulibaly.
And more interestingly, Super Eagles winger, Henry Onyekuru became the first Nigerian to complete a move to the Saudi league this summer. The former Galatasary SK player signed for Al Feiha, where he will play alongside Anthony Nwakaeme.
Speaking about having Osimhen in the Saudi league, Emenalo made it clear he’d be happy. And as the Chief Technical Director for the Saudi Pro League, he assured that Osimhen would be well taken care of.

“Osimhen is Nigerian like me. For me he is great, a fantastic football artist. Would I want him here in this league? Sure, I’d like to,” Emenalo said in an interview.
“I’m sure he would be fine. I am sure that Napoli will manage, will overcome it and will be able to find another Nigerian as strong”.

However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to keep his most expensive acquisition. And just recently provided the striker with an offer that will see him become the club’s highest paid player.
Interestingly, before agreeing to a contract extension with Napoli, the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich were all interested in Osimhe. But were priced out of a deal hence shifting their focus to other targets.
Bayern Munich signed England’s Harry Kane, while Manchester United shifted attention to Atalanta’s Hojlund.
