Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka is the latest player of African extraction to be racially abused by a fan in England npflupdates.com reports.

Onyeka who helped the Super Eagles end it’s fifteen international friendly games winless run against Mozambique few weeks ago, was in action when Brentford beat Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge last weekend.
Onyeka came on for Mathias Jensen in the 64th minute to help Brentford defender it’s lead as the Bees made history. Brentford is the first EPL team to win all their games against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Super Eagles combative midfielder, made three important clearances, four successful tackles and was even cautioned in the 86th minute of the encounter, as he stood his ground to help the Bees cruise to victory in the keenly contested London derby.
Following his performance, the Nigeria international was called a ‘monkey wanker’ by an angry fan on X, after he put up a post to celebrate their victory.

Brentford defends Super Eagles player Frank Onyeka
Following the racial comment, Brentford have come out to publicly defend the Nigerian.
According to the club, they have commenced investigations, and is working with the appropriate authorities to fish out the culprit.
“Another incidence of disgusting, racist abuse was directed towards one of our players, this time Frank Onyeka, on social media,” Brentford said in a statement as quoted by The PUNCH Nigeria.
“It is hugely disappointing that one of our players has had to deal with this yet again.
“The Online Safety Bill was passed — we hope that its implementation will make social media safer and that it will support our efforts to hold these cowards and the social media companies themselves to account. Frank has our full support at this time as we instigate our investigations with the authorities.”
Meanwhile, the English Premier League have also condemned the action. Public reiterating that there’s no place for racism in English football.
According to the EPL body the individual once fished out, will face dire consequences.
“We have offered our full support to Frank and the club and will work with relevant authorities to ensure the individual faces the strongest possible consequences.
