Fans of the Lesotho’s Likuena have urged the national team to go all out and defeat a depleted Super Eagles side in Uyo npflupdates.com reports.
The Super Eagles will embark on its journey to the 2026 FIFA world cup tournament against the Crocodiles of Lesotho on 16 November, 2023.

And according to a report by a powerful media outlet on Lesotho the “Lesotho Times”, the Likuena are urged to defeat the depleted Jose Peseiro’s side.
In a story titled ‘Relief as key Nigerian players are ruled out of Likuena tie’, the newspaper reported some key players of the three-time African champions will miss the tie.

“Top Nigerian players that will miss the Likuena clash are AC Milan forward Samuel Chukwueze, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Nottingham Forest’s influential player Taiwo Awoniyi, Bruno Onyemaechi a defender at Portuguese club, Boavista and Leicester City’s key midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi,” part of story read and was quoted by PUNCH Nigeria.

According to the story, the Super Eagles are seeking to overcome the injury concerns, as they prepare to kick-start their world cup qualifier with a win.
“The Super Eagles are battling to overcome these injury concerns as they prepare to face Likuena who are eager to cause an upset at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in the state of Uyo, Akwa Ibom,” the story continued.
“The Super Eagles are ranked number 40 on the FIFA Coca-Cola world ranking while Likuena are ranked number 153.”
Based on the story “the injury concerns are threatening to disrupt Super Eagles’s coach Jose Peseiro’s hunt for a World Cup ticket after the team missed out on the 2022 World Cup.”
