The international career of AC Milan center-back Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola ‘Fikayo’ Tomori must have got the rocks following a snub by Gareth Southgate.
Fikayo for the second consecutive time has been snubbed by England’s head coach, Gareth Southgate. Last year before the world cup, Tomori who played a pivotal role for the league title won by Milan was snubbed for Harry Maguire.

Tomori had told the media how frustrated he was not making the squad for the world cup in Qatar.
This season, he has featured in over thirty matches for AC Milan across all competitions. Last week, away at Tottenham in a UEFA Champions League round of 16 fixture, Tomori was at his best scooping the MOTM(Man Of The Match) award.
With hope he’d make the England squad ahead of the FIFA international break, Tomori was snubbed yet again for Manchester United’s Harry Maguire.
Reacting to the recent snub, npflupdates in-house analyst Mr Bertrand, said Tomori must be regretting why he snubbed Nigeria when they came calling in 2019.
Why Tomori may regret snubbing the Super Eagles:
“It’s a shame, Tomori didn’t make the squad. It’s been three years, he’s yet to cement his place,” he said Thursday evening.
“I don’t know England’s selection team do their jobs. But if stats are to be considered, Tomori supposed to have made the list. This is one of the things you get, when you leave where you’re appreciated to somewhere else.”
“This should sound as a warning to upcoming players who may want to take their path. Breaking into England national team is always a herculean task,” he continued.
“I wish him the best going forward. Deep down himself, I know for sure he’s regretting snubbing Nigeria,” he added.
Tomori like Bukayo Saka and Tammy Abraham are eligible to represent Nigeria through their parents.
