According to what was obtained, the three-time African champions and 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) finalist will lock horns with Ghana Black Stars and Eagles of Mali during the FIFA international break later this month.
According to NPFLUpdates in-house analyst Mr Best, the decision of the NFF to accept a friendly from the Black Stars is doing the national team mo good.
Based on his analysis, the renowned football executive, said it’s a sort of depreciation, and condescending too low for the Super Eagles to play Ghana who hasn’t qualified from an AFCON group stage in almost a decade.
“What’s there to play against the Black Stars (of Ghana)?” he queried.
“It’s preposterous; condescending rather low to play a country who’s finding it a difficult task to qualify for an AFCON knockout stages in almost a decade. For me it’s a sort of depreciation to the Super Eagles; to even say we got to the final of the 2023 AFCON makes it heart-shredding.”
