Head coach of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles (U-20 men) Isah Ladan Bosso, remains upbeat his team can defeat it’s next opponent at the ongoing All African Games (AAG); npflupdates.com reports.
Bosso was in charge when Nigeria started its 2024 African games with a defeat against the Ugandan Hippos.
Nigeria lacked power in front of goal last Thursday, hence couldn’t convert most of the created chances.
Speaking to the press after the loss, Bosso, addressed that plans are ongoing in how best to beat South Sudan.
What Bosso said ahead if South Sudan match
According to the 53-year-old, the Flying Eagles will have a positive meeting with the backroom staff; at least it will give the boys a chance to express themselves.
“We would have a positive meeting with the players. It is important that they express themselves,” Bosso was quoted by CompleteSports after the game.
“Logically we would have liked to have started (the tournament) in another way, but the players are clear that there are two games ahead that could make so much difference.
“Anyone has the possibility of being a starter – am optimistic the players know what they stand to achieve and the task ahead.”
He added, “We talked about football with the group, about how we can improve the mistakes we had and thus move on with a positive mentality.
“We know what we have to do in the upcoming games, which is to go out and look for victory, we are prepared for that.”
Nigeria which is in search of its first ever gold l will exchange tackles with South Sudan on Monday, by 9pm local time.
And a loss will not be very good for the tactician and his boys.
