A former Besiktas JK forward, Daniel Amokachi, has joined the race to becoming the next Super Eagles head coach; npflupdates.com reports.
According to a report by SCORENigeria, former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi and former coach of Enyimba FC Salisu Yusuf, have submitted their curriculum vitae to the NFF for review.

Recall the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) through a banner it released last week, called on all qualified candidates to send in their CVs for coaching positions at the Super Eagles and Golden Eaglets level.
“Attention passionate and proven football coaches. The Nigeria Football Federation is seeking a visionary leader to lead our senior men’s national team, the mighty Super Eagles.
“This is your chance to lead a team steeped in history and guide them towards even greater glory on the international stage. Are you ready to answer the call?
“Here’s what we’re looking for in our next Super Eagles head coach. Top-tier qualifications: You’ll possess the necessary coaching qualifications to lead a national team.
“Elite Experience – proven experience managing football at the highest level is essential. A successful track record of leading teams to victories is a must while not mandatory, knowledge of African football will be a strong positive,” a part of the banner read.
Daniel Amokachi, Salisu Yusuf joins Super Eagles coaching job race
Daniel ‘The Bull’ Amokachi most recently served as a Presidential aide on sports in the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
The former Everton star in the past assisted the late Stephen Keshi when the Super Eagles last won the AFCON in 2013.
In another story, American coach Michael Nsien also joins the race to becoming Super Eagles next manager.
According to the former footballer, he’s the best man for the job, and should be considered by the NFF.

“I am the best of both worlds. As a Nigerian-American, I have a passion for the Super Eagles, I also know the responsibilities that come with that position as head coach. I have experience working in an environment that spares no expense in technology, has top scouting infrastructure, and coaching collaboration from top to bottom”, NaijaNews quoted the 43-year-old American tactician as saying.
He added, “I know where we are at in Nigerian football and I know the gap that exists. I can bridge the gap and help us reach the level that we should be at in world football. It’s time to change course and move forward. I want to put smiles on the faces of our people.”
