“Definitely we will honour our country, no matter what, whoever they called, they have to come,” the former CSKA Moscow winger said in a pre-match press conference.
“I do not have to listen to anyone. Because I’m the one doing my job, if my coach do want me to stop, I will stop. I am playing always for my club. Why do you want me to stay at the national team.”
The Super Eagles’ World Cup hero, reiterated that it’s only his coach that can stop him from the team. According to him, if the coach stops calling him, he will stop coming.
“If the coach(Jose Peseiro) do not want to call me anymore, then I will stop. But the coach always want me to be in the national team, I will always honour that,” he concluded saying.
