AFCON 2023: Lagos State Governor To Spend Millions On Super Eagles Dinner Party

Lagos State Governor His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday before they depart for Ivory Coast ahead of the 2023 AFCON tournament npflupdates.com reports.

Governor Sanwo-Olu will host and throw a send forth dinner party for Super Eagles on Tuesday night as the team prepares to conquer Africa in Ivory Coast.

Sources told npflupdates.com that Sports development Minister Senator John Owan Enoh will co-host the glamour event.

Also expected to be part of the dinner party are sports loving Governors Douye Diri (Bayelsa State), Seyi Makinde (Oyo State), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta State), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa State) and Godwin Obaseki (Edo State).

Also, highly respected football investor and managing director of Remo Stars SC Hon. Kunle Soname, a former Nigeria captain Dr. Olusegun Odegbami, and some top leading artistes, top celebrities and influencers will be in attendance.

Lagos State Governor to hold dinner party for Super Eagles ahead of 2023 AFCON

When asked about what it may cost to put together such a party for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, a top event planner who do not want his name in prints predicted N4,000,000( Four Million Naira).

“It’s good that the Super Eagles will enjoy such a party. I mean, it’ll boost their morale as it’s a way of showing them Nigerians still support them,” he said.

“It will cost in the neighbourhood of 4M. And trust me, they deserved it.”

In another story, a former Super Eagles Captain John Mikel Obi, rained plaudits on striker Victor Boniface.

According to the former Chelsea man, the AFCON-bound forward, is powerful, strong and energetic; a characteristic most recent strikers do not possess.

“He will become a complete striker in the next couple of years. He has the physique, he is quick, good on the ball, technically very good and it’s difficult to see strikers that are that big and strong and powerful and then good on the ball as well,” Mikel told Obione podcast.

“His assists as well, not just scoring goals, is something that will make this kid special, really, really special. I can’t wait to see what his journey will be in the next couple of years.”
